Here are a few introductory words from Steve Slater who, from today, becomes our Interim CEO.
"Last week CBH said farewell to Paul Stephenson, whose leadership has seen CBH achieve many significant milestones. He leaves CBH in a very strong position, with current customer satisfaction of 90%, positive and collaborative relationships with many key stakeholders, and a bright and positive future ahead.
The role of CEO has now been entrusted to me for an interim period, and I cannot express how proud I am to be able to lead CBH forward into that future, and work with CBC and other local partners to make Cheltenham a place where everyone thrives.
CBH demonstrated its adaptability and resilience during the period of lockdown, working closely with CBC for the benefit of both customers and the wider community, and still is. This close working relationship will continue and CBH will offer support where we can, and ensure that we play our part in CBC achieving its recovery strategy aims.
Great Customer Service is our ultimate top priority. We will be aiming to take our Customer Service on to an even higher level of excellence. This means looking at how we can deliver great service on every occasion that we come into contact with our customers – day in, day out, and across all areas of the business.
Our ability to consistently deliver high quality services, which continue to receive high levels of satisfaction from customers during a period of several years of unprecedented change for the housing sector, is testament to the incredible colleagues that work here.
Our people are the beating heart of CBH. They are professional and committed, and really do care about what they do. They see the person, not just a tenancy and they are trusted, friendly faces in communities across the town. Our neighbourly and caring approach, and desire to proactively provide solutions to challenges is what sets us apart.
Our future for the next three years is set out in our revised Business Plan to 2023 and is clearly aligned to CBC’s aims. It has been informed by the volatile operating environment we find ourselves in, by colleagues and customers’ feedback; and has been shaped and refined by our senior management team and Board. Our Vision and three Aims remain the same: We want to make Cheltenham a better place to live by providing Great Homes, building Strong Communities with Inspired People.
I am excited to have this opportunity to lead this fantastic company, and to make a real difference to the people of Cheltenham."
