Cheltenham Borough Homes (CBH) has struck gold in the annual Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Awards for the seventh year running.
To win this internationally recognised award, high levels of health and safety standards had to be demonstrated. The evidence provided showed CBH’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the health, wellbeing and safety of both colleagues and customers.
Emma Wall, director of property and communities of Cheltenham Borough Homes said: “We are absolutely delighted to receive the RoSPA Gold award again. These awards are a testament to our longstanding commitment to maintaining high levels of health, wellbeing and safety, providing our colleagues and customers with the peace of mind they are safe and secure. Never has this been more important than right now, massive thanks to everyone involved for all their hard work in helping us achieve this incredible accolade.”
Shane Brimfield, Board champion for health and safety added: “These awards are important to all at CBH as they drive up standards and set new safety benchmarks for organisations across the world. Achieving gold for the seventh year in a row demonstrates to the board the seriousness that health, safety and wellbeing is to CBH for both colleagues and customers. Many thanks go to everyone at CBH. Health and Safety is everyone's concern. This Award is for the hard work you have done. ”
Julia Small, RoSPA’s achievements director, said: “The RoSPA Awards scheme is the longest-running of its kind in the UK, but it receives entries from organisations across the globe, making it one of the most sought-after achievement awards for health and safety worldwide. RoSPA is very proud of the achievements of its entrants, and with this award we recognise the best of the best, those organisations that have gone the extra mile, raising the bar for the delivery of safety in the workplace. Employees, wherever they may be should be able to go to work safe in the knowledge that they will return home unharmed and healthy at the end of every day. Our RoSPA Award winners are central to achieving this goal.”
Organisations receiving a RoSPA Award are recognised as being world-leaders in health and safety practice. Every year, nearly 2,000 entrants vie to achieve the highest possible accolade in what is the UK’s longest-running H&S industry awards.
