Cheltenham Borough Homes (CBH) has again scooped gold, winning a gold medal award for the ninth consecutive year, in the annual Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Awards 2023.
High levels of health and safety standards need to be demonstrated to win this internationally recognised award. The evidence provided showed CBH’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the health, wellbeing and safety of both colleagues and customers.
Emma Wall, director of property and communities of CBH, said: “Safety is so important to us here at CBH and achieving a RoSPA gold award for a ninth consecutive year is an amazing achievement. It’s a fantastic recognition of everyone’s hard work and longstanding commitment to maintaining high levels of health, wellbeing and safety, providing our customers and colleagues with the peace of mind they are safe and secure. We are all thrilled to achieve this incredible accolade – well done and massive thanks to all involved.”
Christine Gore, board champion for health, safety and wellbeing, added: “Driving up standards and setting new safety benchmarks for organisations across the world is why these awards are so important. Winning a RoSPA Gold award again is a clear indication to board that the health, safety and wellbeing of customers and colleagues is taken seriously. On behalf of the board I’d like to personally thank all those involved at CBH. This award is a wonderful recognition to making sure health and safety remains a top priority and at the forefront of CBH.”
Julia Small, RoSPA’s achievements director, said: “Accidents at work and work-related ill health don’t just have huge financial implications or cause major disruption – they significantly impact an individual’s quality of life. That’s why good safety performance deserves to be recognised and rewarded.
“We are thrilled that CBH has won a RoSPA Award and would like to congratulate them on showing an unwavering commitment to keeping their employees, clients and customers safe from accidental harm and injury.”
