How we make information available
As well as responding to requests for information we must also proactively publish certain information. The Freedom of Information Act requires every public authority to adopt the Information Commissioner’s Office Model Publication Scheme.
We aim to make as much information available as possible free of charge on our website under the classes of available information set out in the ICO’s definition document for wholly owned companies. A number of key company documents can also be found in the publications section of our website.
If you cannot find the information you are looking for you can also make a request for it under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
If you can’t find what you’re looking for, or if you require information in hard copy form, please contact us.
Charges for information
The FOIA does not specify how much we can charge for information published in a publication scheme; however it requires any fee to be justified, transparent and kept to a minimum. Where we do make a charge it will only be for:
- Communicating the information, such as photocopying and postage. We do not charge for providing information online
- Fees permitted by other legislation; and
- Information produced commercially, for example, a book, map or similar publication that we intend to sell and would not otherwise have produced.
