We received some great news yesterday as the Housing Investment Plan (HIP) was approved by Council! This is a multi-million pound initiative to increase housing across the borough and is a successful joint project between CBH and CBC.
The HIP is an exciting new scheme put forward as part of the Council's 'Place Vision' strategy, which aspires to make a difference to the town and provide the homes that communities need to thrive.
It is really exciting news as this means that CBH now have access to a potential £100 million pounds to help deliver around 500 new, high quality homes for rent in Cheltenham. This will help us to achieve our Aim to ‘provide great quality, affordable homes that meet the needs of the Cheltenham community’ and deliver 350 new homes by 2020 as we continue towards our Vision to ‘make Cheltenham a better place to live by providing great homes and stronger communities’.
We will also be setting up a dedicated webpage to help you stay up to date on HIP so watch this space!
