This week we have written to all of our tenants with information about the changes to how we are providing services as a result of the spread of Coronavirus/COVID-19.
These changes are intended to protect you, our colleagues and contractors to prevent anyone being exposed to the virus.
The letter should have arrived today (26th) but the full text is below:
"To the occupier,
We are writing to you to let you know that, following the announcement by the Prime Minister on Monday 23rd March, we are having to make a number of changes to our services.
What we are doing
As part of our efforts to keep you, our employees and our contractors safe, we are constantly adjusting how we are working, and you will notice some changes in the coming days and weeks as we do so.
You can find an overview of some of the changes we are making, including what we are able to carry on doing and what we are having to stop on the flyer included with this letter. Our aim is to maintain essential services for as long as possible and to identify and support the most vulnerable people at these times.
Part of that means we will only be able to carry out emergency repairs to properties and all planned work has been postponed. Safety checks will be taking place, but we will be reviewing all aspects of our operations regularly so please look out for updates online.
What next?
We will provide regular updates through our social media channels and our website over the coming days and weeks to keep you informed as this situation develops. Please follow us there as we are unlikely to send another letter to you directly.
Where we have a mobile phone number for you, we may use our new system to send you a message, should there be any further significant changes in services or access. This will point you to our website, but you will still be able to call our 0800 408 0000 number if you prefer.
I would like to thank you for your support and patience during this testing time, and hope that you are keeping yourself and your loved ones safe.
If you do have any symptoms, please follow the advice on the www.nhs.net website for more guidance and please let us know so that we do not put our colleagues and other people unnecessarily at risk.
Yours Sincerely,
Paul Stephenson, CEO, Cheltenham Borough Homes"
Each letter has an A4 poster included, which shows you the work we are doing and the services we have had to stop to make sure we keep you and everyone else safe.
