CBH is required to comply with the UK’s General Data Protection Regulation (commonly called the UK GDPR) and UK Data Protection Act 2018; the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA); and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR)

Data protection legislation controls how we use your personal information and provides individuals with certain rights.

The FOIA provides a right of access to recorded information held by Public Authorities. CBH is wholly owned by Cheltenham Borough Council and we are therefore required to comply with the requirements of the FOIA. The FOIA applies to all categories of information with the exception of environmental information and your own personal data. The EIR provides a right of access to recorded information that relates to the environment.
